Days supply: FAQ

How is days supply calculated?

Days supply is the quantity dispensed divided by the dose per day, rounded down to whole days. For example 30 tablets at 2 per day is a 15 day supply.

How do I work out the quantity for a set number of days?

Multiply the dose per day by the number of days. The reverse field does this: enter a target number of days to see the quantity needed at the current dose.

What is the run-out date?

The start date plus the days supply. Use it to set a refill reminder so the patient does not run out.
